Dawah (دعوة, literally: summons or call, also da'wa) is an Arabic term meaning "invite" or "invitation".

Dawah is considered to be the Muslim responsibility to invite others to Islam. Dawah is often referred to as the act of preaching Islam. It can apply to Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

Purposes of dawah

From an Islamic standpoint, the purpose of dawah is to "invite" people to the worship of Allah as expressed in Tawheed [to assert the unity of God] as well as to inform them about their belief about Muhammad who Muslims believe is the last Prophet and Messenger. By doing so, Muslims hope to guide people to the religion of Islam. However, Muslims believe that if people come to Islam the decision is ultimately between them and their Creator.

Another purpose of dawah is to strengthen the Muslim community, or Ummah. For Muslims, it is the encouragement to be more observant of Allah and to increase the level of piety. That applies whether the person is just at the edge of Islam (applying very little of it) or someone who is already practicing well but wants to reach higher levels. For the non-Muslim, it is explaining Islam by a congruent person, through acts, discussions, and dialogue in the best manner possible.

The Sahih Muslim Hadith indicates that a Da'wa is the first of three "courses of action" to be undertaken in attempting to avoid war with . . . enemies. [color and italics mine, lw.]



Approaches to dawah

Dawah, from the Islamic perspective, is an open and general act of informing others about the message of Islam by carrying it, living it, and making it available to others through all positive and engaging means. It is not the mere act of telling someone about Islam, although dialogue, discussion, presentations, etc. are a part of dawah. It is the steady engagement of living the message, exemplifying the behaviors and providing answers and material when necessary.

As a general principle, most Muslims agree that successful dawah includes knowledge of Islam, manners, and sincerity and intention in action. Many callers to Islam, such as imams, undergo dawah training to build their foundation on various aspects of the Islamic faith.

3. You refuse to be a dhimmi, and they will attack you and either:

Make you accept Islam--that is, you become a Moslem

or

Cringe in front of them as an inferior--a dhimmi

or they

Kill you


If you have a wife and children

they will become the property of Moslems

to do with them as they sees fit

"Build a Mosque, a Church, and a Jewish Temple in one area, especially in universities, airports, and public squares etc. · Print the Noble Qur'an, the Torah, and the Bible in one book.

"Other consequences of such a call in the form of conferences, symposiums, and solicitations to be established both in the East and the West.

"After comprehensive study the committee resolves the following:-

"1. One of the fundamentals of Faith in Islam, which is known as an essential part of the religion and upon which all Muslims have agreed, is that there is no true religion on the earth except Islam, and that it is the Final religion which abrogated all previous religions and creeds. Therefore, no other religion remains on earth by which Allah can be worshipped except Islam. Allah The Most High says, "And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers." [Al-Qur'an 3:85].

"2. One of the fundamentals of faith in Islam is what Allah's Book (the Qur'an) is the last Book that was revealed by the Cherisher of the Worlds. It abrogated all the Books revealed by Allah before it, such as the Torah, the Psalms, and the Bible, and as such no other Book has been left by which Allah can be worshipped except the Qur'an. Allah, The Most High, says, "And We have sent down to you (O Muhammad) the Book (the Qur'an) in truth, confirming the Scriptures that came before it, and trustworthy in highness and a witness over it (old scriptures). So judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and follow not their vain desires." [Al-Qur'an] 5:48]

"3. It is our belief that both the Torah and the Bible were abrogated by the Qur'an, and that they were changed by means of additions or deletions by their followers. This was indicated in some verses in Allah's Book - the Noble Qur'an. Allah, The Most High, says in His Qur'an, "So because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard. They change the words from their (right) places and have abandoned a good part of the Message that was sent to them. And you will not cease to discover deceit in them, except a few of them." [Al-Qur'an 5:13]"

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO SO AS NOT TO FALL PREY TO DA'AWAH?

Do not be tempted to fall into the trap.

The words are honeyed and the piousness oozes.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE SIRENS' SONG!

. . . remember the destructive and evil nature of this [ideology--Islam], . . . it eats away at the very foundation of humanity which is an individual's ability to think individually and act accordingly.

If you submit, you will be a prisoner of a system that you can never leave, that has rules that you must obey--rules that extend to where you must face when engaged in latrine matters and how to perform personal hygiene that are too private and and unappetizing to describe here.

Once you're in, If you try to leave--their ideology gives them the right to kill you.
